Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara has taken a significant step towards improving the quality of services in the state. He has signed an executive order to reduce the number of state ministries from 28 to 16. Malam Nuhu Anka, the Director General of Media and Communication in the governor’s office, issued a statement in Gusau confirming this development. According to the governor, the restructuring is a crucial part of his administration’s rescue mission for the state. It will not only affect ministries but also extend to government departments, agencies, and parastatals. The objective is to promote effectiveness, functionality, and eliminate redundancy.
Governor Lawal emphasized that individuals with proven integrity and a strong work ethic will be appointed to lead the ministries.
