Senator Ned Munir Nwoko, representing Delta North senatorial district, has expressed his heartfelt condolences to the family of late Cairo Ojuogboh, who tragically passed away recently.
In a statement issued by his media office, Senator Nwoko described Ojuogboh as not only a colleague but also a brother and friend whose dedication to serving his constituents and contributions to Nigerian politics and development will be fondly remembered.
Acknowledging Ojuogboh’s passion for Nigeria, which according to him, extended beyond politics to everyday moments of shared national pride and camaraderie, Senator Nwoko emphasized the profound impact of Ojuogboh’s commitment to public service.
“I’m deeply saddened to hear about the passing of my brother and friend, Cairo Ojuogboh. His zeal for service and his contributions to Delta politics and development will be remembered fondly.
“It’s evident that his passion for Nigeria extended beyond politics to everyday moments of shared national pride and camaraderie.
“During this difficult time, my heartfelt condolences go out to you, his family, as well as his friends and all those who were touched by his life and work. May you find comfort in the memories you shared and solace in the knowledge that his contributions have left a lasting mark on Nigerian politics and development.” Senator Nwoko expressed.
Cairo Ojuogboh, was a former member of the House of Representatives representing the Ika Federal Constituency in Delta State under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and later serving as the South-South National Vice Chairman of the party, also held the position of Executive Director Projects at the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
Tragically, Ojuogboh passed away on Wednesday night while watching the AFCON 2023 semi-final match between Nigeria and South Africa, according to sources close to the family.
