Jadon Sancho hid his face as he arrived to train on his own at Manchester United’s Carrington base on Friday morning after being banished from first-team practice by Erik ten Hag.
Pictures showed the England winger arriving just before 9am, lifting his chin with his mirror lowered so as to hide the rest of his face.
The 23-year-old has refused to apologise for his public fall-out with manager Ten Hag and the feud has only intensified as a result.
United released a statement on Thursday announcing that Sancho would be training alone due to a ‘squad discipline issue’.
It follows his social media post claiming that Ten Hag’s critical comments about his training performances were ‘completely untrue’.
Ten Hag is set to speak later on Friday and will no doubt be asked about a saga which threatens to further derail United’s tumultuous start to the season, which has been hampered by off-field issues for both Mason Greenwoodand Antony as well.
