On Wednesday, Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, made an appearance in court for a hearing at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal.

Kenneth Okonkwo, the spokesperson for Obi’s campaign team, took to Twitter to share a photo of Obi inside the courtroom.

In his tweet, Okonkwo stated, “Today, on May 17, 2023, we are once again present at the Court of Appeal to continue the hearing of our petition, aiming to bring an end to the old regime and usher in a new era for Nigeria. Peter Obi is in court.”

He further added, “A few individuals, posing as Labour Party leaders, tried to disrupt the proceedings but were ultimately humiliated. We firmly believe that victory is on our side, by the grace of God.”

Reports indicate that there was a disagreement between two factions of the party prior to the court resuming its proceedings.
