President Bola Tinubu has issued a directive instructing security agencies to promptly initiate a rescue operation for the kidnapped female students from the Federal University Gusau in Zamfara State.
In a statement released on Sunday by presidential spokesperson Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu strongly denounced the reprehensible act of abduction. He emphasized that there can be no justification, moral or otherwise, for such heinous crimes, especially when the victims’ only “offense” was their pursuit of a quality education.
The president extended his heartfelt condolences to the families directly affected by this tragic incident. He reaffirmed his administration’s unyielding commitment to safeguarding every Nigerian citizen and assured the families of the abducted students that no effort would be spared to ensure their safe return.
President Tinubu also pledged the Federal Government’s resolute determination to ensure that educational institutions continue to serve as sanctuaries of knowledge, growth, and opportunity, completely free from the menacing actions of terrorists.
