President Bola Ahmed Tinubu hosted a reception for the Super Eagles and members of Team Nigeria today, February 13, at the State House Council Chambers.
During the meeting, President Tinubu bestowed the prestigious Member of the Order of Niger (MON) award upon all members of the Team Nigeria and the Super Eagles.
Additionally, President Tinubu presented the team and the Super Eagles with a flat in Nigeria and a plot of land in the Federal Capital Territory as tokens of appreciation for their outstanding service.
Expressing his gratitude, President Tinubu commended the players and Team Nigeria for their resilience and for uplifting the spirit of the nation through their matches. He praised the Super Eagles for demonstrating sportsmanship and a can-do attitude, emphasizing his immense pride in them.
The Super Eagles, who clinched second place at the recently concluded AFCON 2023 in Ivory Coast, arrived in Nigeria earlier today via the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
