President Muhammadu Buhari has given his approval for the appointment of Dr. Baba Haruna as the new Rector of the Federal Polytechnic in Bida. The announcement was made in a letter signed by the Minister of Education, Alhaji Adamu Adamu, and released to the press in Bida on Wednesday.
As maintained by PUNCH, Dr. Haruna’s appointment is effective from May 21 and will be for a term of five years. The letter stated, “I am pleased to inform you that Mr. President, His Excellency, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, has approved your appointment as Rector of Federal Polytechnic, Bida, Niger State.”
The terms and conditions of Dr. Haruna’s service, including his remuneration and fringe benefits, will be in line with the approved standards for Rectors of Federal Polytechnics, the letter added.
President Buhari extended his congratulations to Dr. Haruna on his new position and expressed his wishes for a successful tenure in office.
Prior to his appointment, Dr. Baba Haruna served as the Director of Quality Assurance at the Federal Polytechnic in Bida.
