Tunde Onakoya, a Nigerian chess champion and advocate for child education, has broken the Guinness World Record (GWR) for the longest chess marathon.
Onakoya achieved this milestone in the early hours of Saturday, April 20, after surpassing the previous record of 56 hours, 9 minutes, and 37 seconds, held by two Norwegians.
Continuing his marathon, Tunde aims to play for even more hours without losing a single game. His ultimate goal is to raise $1,000,000 to transform the lives of underserved children across Africa.
