Singer Skales and Delta State Police Public Relations Officer (PRO), Bright Edafe, found themselves embroiled in yet another online exchange on Sunday morning, September 17, which stemmed from a recent social media spat.
The initial dispute began a couple of days ago when Skales expressed concern about the apparent absence of police intervention in the wake of videos showing the late singer Mohbad being assaulted. Edafe came across Skales’ post and responded, emphasizing that police stations are not on social media platforms like “X,” and that formal complaints are required to initiate police investigations.
Skales promptly fired back, instructing Edafe to “shut up.” Edafe, in turn, accused Skales of attempting to utilize their interaction to resurrect his allegedly “dead career.”
However, later that same day, Edafe posted a video of himself dancing to one of Skales’ songs, indicating a more amicable tone. He referred to the rapper as his “brother” and conveyed that there were no lingering hard feelings between them.
The following morning, Skales came across Edafe’s post and launched a fresh round of criticism, referring to the police PRO as a “fool” and an “idiot.” Edafe chose not to respond with insults, citing his proper upbringing as the reason.
