In a tragic incident on January 4th, Yusuf Ahmed, 22, and Olayinka Sanusi, 34, were apprehended by the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly causing the death of Sharafadeen Atanda in Surulere.

Atanda was accused of stealing two car doors.

The Iponri Police division was alerted by the deceased’s wife, who received a distressing call informing her that her husband was being assaulted by individuals claiming he had stolen from them.

Upon arriving at the scene, she discovered Atanda severely injured and later learned he had passed away while being transported to the hospital in a Keke NAPEP tricycle.

The diligent efforts of the Iponri police led to the prompt arrest of the two suspects and the recovery of Atanda’s body, which had been left in the Keke NAPEP.

The deceased’s remains have been placed at the Mainland Hospital Morgue as investigations into the tragic incident continue.
