Professional French footballer, Kylian Mbappe has informed Paris Saint Germain, PSG that he will take a bow from the club at the end of the current season .
The forward who decided not to pick up the additional year in his contract will be putting an end to his seven- year association with the French champions and will be a free agent in June.
Mbappe is yet to confirm his future club, but Real Madrid are known to have heavy interest in signing the superstar forward.
The terms of the forward’s exit are yet to be finalised as the two parties negotiate whether Mbappe will leave for a fee or sacrifice his own earnings to protect PSG financially.
It is understood PSG and Mbappe will make an announcement once this is agreed in the coming months.
Real Madrid hold a long-term interest in the 25-year-old forward, who would have to take a pay cut to join the Spanish side, even though they are prepared to make him their highest-paid player.
The departure of Mbappe, whose wages cost PSG €200m (£171m) per year, will free up funds for the club to replace their star player and it is understood there are already plans to make multiple signings this summer.
Mbappe has been here before. The forward seemed set to leave PSG in May 2022, coming close to agreeing terms with Madrid. Back then, he made an unexpected u-turn, and penned a lucrative extension to stay in Paris.
