Judy Austin joined her husband Yul Edochie to deliver a powerful sermon during his online service, addressing young women’s lifestyles and relationships.
Yul Edochie, who recently disclosed his divine call to ministry, conducted an online sermon on Sunday, Feb. 25, focusing on guiding his listeners.
During the session, Judy, now referred to as “Mummy GO” by their congregation, joined him to address the topic of relationships, particularly highlighting the behavior of young women.
Judy emphasized the importance of young women prioritizing education over relationships, admonishing those who neglect their studies to indulge in romantic pursuits with inexperienced young men.
She remarked, “What of our girls that you go to school to read, to gain the knowledge that will shape your life, your focus of being there is to go and be playing wife role to another small boy that knows nothing. Come on!
“And then you see them, I’m talking to you if you’re one of those girls, their nails will be as long as this, their lashes will almost get to their forehead, what are you trying to prove? What are you trying to look like? Like you’re the ‘It girl’? No, my love, you’re not. That is you being distracted from what you were sent to school to do.”
Judy also cautioned against succumbing to peer pressure, urging women to stay true to themselves and avoid destructive behaviors motivated by materialism or social status.
She emphasized, “Don’t destroy yourself with your own hands. Don’t do it because Amaka is dating that boy and that boy just bought Amaka iPhone 20… It is meaningless. Once you have your life in check, there is nothing you cannot accomplish in this life.
“You don’t have to destroy your life because of what is fading.”
Furthermore, she advised women to distance themselves from friends who encourage reckless living and prioritize material possessions over personal growth.
Judy, known for her acting career and maternal role, gained public attention two years ago when news surfaced of her relationship with Yul Edochie, despite objections from his family, after ending her previous marriage to Mr. Emmanuel Obasi.
