The government of the United Kingdom is preparing to announce changes to its immigration policy, specifically targeting Nigerian students and students from other nationalities studying in the UK, in order to prevent them from bringing their families along.
A recent report from The Sun UK reveals that the forthcoming adjustments, aimed at addressing the large influx of families entering the country, will be officially unveiled later this week.
According to the report, the crackdown will primarily impact master’s students and certain other postgraduate students, who will be prohibited from relocating their families to the UK.
However, the ban will not extend to PhD students, who typically undertake courses lasting between 3 and 5 years and possess high levels of skill, as stated by the media outlet.
