Hilda Baci graciously acknowledges Irish Chef Alan Fisher’s triumph in claiming the Guinness World Record title for the longest cooking marathon by an individual.
The announcement on November 7 solidified Fisher’s position as the new record holder, dethroning Hilda, who had previously held the esteemed title.
Taking to Twitter, Hilda congratulated Fisher, expressing her honor in having held the record. In her tweet, she praised Fisher’s remarkable achievement, stating,
“Huge congratulations to Alan Fisher! 119hrs 57mins is a huge achievement, and I wish him all the best as the new world record holder!”
Despite relinquishing her title, Hilda reflected on her own experience, noting,
“I’m so happy to have held a record so prestigious and profound. I will forever be honored and grateful for all the love and support.”
Hilda commenced her Cook-a-Thon on Thursday, May 11, maintaining the marathon until Monday, May 15, 2023. Guinness World Records officially recognized her accomplishment in June 2023.
However, Hilda’s tenure as the record holder was relatively short-lived, spanning less than five months before the title passed on to Alan Fisher.
