Honorable Garba Madami, a member of the 10th Kaduna State House of Assembly, has passed away. His death occurred on June 17, just four days after he took office to represent the Chikun constituency in the state House of Assembly. He succumbed to an undisclosed illness while receiving treatment at a hospital in Kaduna.
The Governor, in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mohammed Shehu, expressed deep condolences to Honorable Madami’s immediate family and the people of the Chikun Constituency. The Governor acknowledged the late lawmaker’s significant contributions to promoting peaceful coexistence and recognized his esteemed reputation.
According to LIB, Governor Sani offered his heartfelt prayers to God, requesting eternal rest for the soul of Honorable Madami. He also extended his prayers for the comfort and solace of Madami’s family, associates, friends, and constituents during this time of bereavement.
Prior to his role in the state House of Assembly, the late lawmaker had served as the chairman of Chikun Local Government Area and had also held the position of Commissioner of Planning and Budget. Furthermore, he had acted as the Political Adviser to the late Governor Patrick Yakowa of Kaduna State.
