An Australian woman residing in Sydney shared that her husband initiated divorce proceedings after she declined to engage in sexual activity with him on their wedding night.
During a conversation with Abbie Chatfield, a radio personality on the Hit Network radio show, the bride named Rachel recounted how her newlywed spouse had demanded sex on their wedding night, but reacted angrily when she refused.
Rachel went on to disclose that the morning after their wedding, her husband filed for divorce, resulting in their official separation.
“I hadn’t even been married for 24 hours when my husband insisted on a divorce, and we ended up separating just two weeks later,” the caller revealed.
“After our wedding, we went out, but when we returned to the hotel room, I wasn’t able to meet his expectations.”
Upon clarification from Chatfield and her two male producers, Rachel confirmed that she was referring to sexual intimacy.
“We were exhausted, and I wasn’t inclined to engage in that activity. The next day, he demanded a divorce,” Rachel explained.
Chatfield reacted, saying, “What a repulsive man.”
She added, “I’ve also heard that many couples refrain from having sex on their wedding night due to fatigue. This man is truly awful and disgusting. Men can be repulsive.”
Rachel then went on to share that the experience left her feeling miserable and eager to distance herself from her newlywed spouse.
