Zozibini Tunzi, the remarkable South African model and Miss Universe 2019, has been officially announced as one of the esteemed co-hosts for the upcoming annual ceremony of the highly acclaimed African Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA). Tunzi will share the stage with the renowned Nigerian media personality, IK Osakioduwa, who returns for an impressive ninth time as the host of this prestigious event.
As IK Osakioduwa makes his much-anticipated return to the AMVCA stage, he expressed his sheer delight for the ceremony and his excitement about this year’s pool of nominees. He graciously stated, “It feels good to be hosting the AMVCAs once again; I have been privileged to be on this stage for the past nine years, and I do not take that for granted. Aside from being a model and beauty queen, Zozibini Tunzi is a multi-talented individual who has also ventured into acting. She made her acting debut in the notable film “The Woman King,” which was released last year. In addition to her acting endeavors, Tunzi is recognized as a social media personality, a radio and television host, and has had the privilege of hosting various prominent events, including the esteemed Miss South Africa pageant.

The highly-anticipated AMVCA will span over three remarkable days, commencing on Thursday, May 18, and culminating with the grand awards night on Saturday, May 20, 2023. The festivities will commence with the Opening/Cultural Night on Thursday, May 18, followed by the MTF Day and Digital Content Creators Day on Friday, May 19. The excitement will further escalate with the Nominee Gala/Runway show later that day, leading up to the climax of the event on Saturday, May 20, when the exceptional African talents will be celebrated and honored.
