The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, made an appearance at Amore Gardens in Lekki, where renowned Nigerian chef, Hilda Baci, was attempting to break the Guinness World Record for individual cooking.
Accompanied by government officials and the press, Sanwo-Olu expressed his satisfaction at Baci’s ambition to showcase Nigeria’s culture on a global scale.
Addressing the enthusiastic crowd at the event, the governor proudly announced Lagos State’s previous achievement of breaking the world record for the largest number of cupcakes. He pledged his support to the talented chef and commended her for promoting the state and the country internationally once again.
Sanwo-Olu stated, “Let’s remember that here in Lagos, we have already broken the record for the largest number of cupcakes in the world. So, we are embarking on yet another groundbreaking feat for our country, our state, and your family. I am incredibly proud of you, and I can see your determination to reach the finish line. You will undoubtedly succeed. Thank you very much.” Pulse reported.
Encouraging the attendees, the governor urged them to draw inspiration from Hilda Baci and pursue their own passions relentlessly without giving up. He emphasized the importance of self-motivation and taking initiative, assuring them that the world would eagerly await their accomplishments.
Later on, via his Instagram Story on the morning of May 14, 2023, the former Lagos State governor shared a screenshot of Hilda Baci’s cook-a-thon live stream, captioned with the words, “IDAN doesn’t break, she breaks records. We are rooting for you, Hilda.”
