In a recent study publication, Australia has been identified as the world’s most promiscuous nation, with the USA ranking 15th and Nigeria making it to the list.
NapLab compiled data from various sources to construct this ranking, taking into account factors such as national sexually transmitted infection rates, a country’s attitudes toward premarital sex, and the average number of sexual partners, among other criteria.
The study indicates that, on average, a US citizen has been intimate with more than 10 people, as per their research findings, with an average resident having 10.7 sexual partners over their lifetime. Interestingly, the USA shares this statistic with Canada, where the average is also 10.7 bedroom partners.
Additionally, the study notes that 65% of US citizens consider premarital sex acceptable, although this percentage is comparatively lower than that of most other Western countries.
Furthermore, the average age at which Australians lose their virginity is younger than that of Americans, with Australians doing so at 17.8 years compared to 18 years for Americans.
Surprisingly, despite the perception of Australians having more sexual partners on average, the study found that Australia had lower rates of sexually transmitted diseases, commonly known as STDs, in comparison to the USA.
Nigeria, Africa’s most populous nation, is ranked 40th on the list, highlighting the diversity of attitudes and behaviors regarding sexual relationships on a global scale.
