Silvio Berlusconi, the former prime minister of Italy who passed away last month, has reportedly left a remarkable €100 million inheritance for his girlfriend and €30 million for an associate with alleged ties to the mafia.
The contents of his will have been described as a plot straight out of a soap opera.
At the time of his death at the age of 86, Berlusconi was renowned as one of Italy’s wealthiest individuals.
In addition to distributing his vast business empire, he sought to resolve a dispute among his five children over who would assume control.
Surprisingly, Berlusconi bequeathed a substantial sum of €100 million to his girlfriend, Marta Fascina, who is 33 years old and a staggering 53 years his junior. It is worth noting that Berlusconi’s children had advised against formalizing their relationship through marriage.
Furthermore, the three-time former Italian prime minister, whose overall fortune is estimated to exceed €6 billion, allocated €100 million to his brother Paolo and €30 million to Marcello Dell’Utri. The latter, a former senator affiliated with Berlusconi’s Forza Italia party, had previously served time in prison due to associations with organized crime.
