Kosi Ugo, a male Facebook user, sparked outrage with his controversial remarks following the tragic murder of Uniport student Damian Okoligwe’s girlfriend, Justina Otuene Nkang.
Ugo’s initial post read, “Every time a girl is killed by her Yahoo boyfriend and it makes rounds on social media, there’s this unexplainable joy I feel in my heart that money cannot buy. I always feel like looking for the boy to shake his hand and thank him for a job well done.”
Ugo’s statement elicited a strong negative response from the online community. In an attempt to clarify his position and offer an apology, he made another post, but his apology failed to quell the controversy.
