Renowned Afrobeats singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has avowed to not refund the $94,600 (about 72 million naira)that was paid to him by former President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick and others.
This medium had earlier reported that Amaju dragged the record label boss online saying he refused to show up at the 19th edition of the ‘Warri Again Fest’ despite getting paid.
Amaju who made this known while addressing attendees at an event, threatened to teach the ‘Unavailable’ crooner a lesson, adding that Davido has become too proud despite not being a bigger artiste than Burna Boy and other Warri-born artistes.
However, the singer who reacted to the accusation via his instagram story said he would rather double the money and give it to a football charity organisation than refund it.
He further described Pinnick as “Mr Dream Crusher”, alleging that many Nigerian footballers have had their dreams crushed because of his greed.
Davido wrote, “If I’m returning any money, I’ll return it to any football charity organization.
“In fact, I will double it….. Mr Dream Crusher… imagine how many Nigerian footballers have had their dreams crushed because person one lives for Ikoyi by force.”
