The Lagos Coroner Court at Ita-Elewa, Ikorodu, revealed on Wednesday, November 22, that the decisive toxicology test, essential for determining the cause of death of the late music sensation Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, is currently underway in the United States of America (USA).
State counsel O. Akinde informed Coroner Magistrate Adetayo Shotobi that the autopsy on the external body of the deceased has been concluded, with the toxicology test focusing on the internal body being conducted in the US.
“The toxicology test, which has to do with the internal body, is being done in the US,” he said.
This revelation came in response to the inquiries of other counsels, including those representing the father of the deceased, David Fadimu, TNKay Music Worldwide’s David Nawoola, and the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Ikorodu representative, O.S.A. Aranmolaran.
Magistrate Shotobi sought clarification on why the toxicology test was outsourced to the USA despite the availability of toxicology laboratories in Nigeria.
