Bayero University in Kano State has temporarily halted the ongoing 2022/2023 first-semester undergraduate examinations and all academic activities.

The decision, outlined in a statement by the acting Registrar, Mrs. Amina Abdullahi, comes in response to the nationwide strike initiated by NLC and TUC, with the university unions subsequently deciding to join the protest.

“It should be noted that the ongoing examinations are halfway through and as soon as the strike is over, the examinations will continue,” the statement concluded.
