Renowned British-Nigerian boxer, Anthony Joshua, has embarked on a four-day solitary retreat within a completely darkened room, investing £2,000 in this unique experience.
This unconventional form of retreat, embraced by several sporting stars, serves as a method of meditation, facilitating profound introspection for athletes.
Throughout the past week, the 34-year-old pugilist has been sustained through food provisions discreetly delivered to his secluded space, while remaining devoid of any social interaction or exposure to light.
Aaron Rodgers, an NFL star, who previously ventured on a similar retreat in March, shared his insights:
“It was a great reset for me, for my body and my mind,’ the 39-year-old said of the four-day excursion. “Maybe a little bit longer than I needed. I feel like by the time I got to the fourth day, I was like, alright, I’m ready to come out.”
