Al-Nassr, a Saudi Arabian football club, has been handed a FIFA ban that prohibits them from registering new players due to their failure to pay Leicester City approximately £390,000 in add-ons and interest for Ahmed Musa, who joined the club in 2018.
According to a report from the Daily Mail on Wednesday, Al-Nassr was notified in 2021 that they must fulfill their financial obligations to Leicester City. However, it appears that they were unable to do so, resulting in the registration ban.
Despite being at the forefront of the Saudi Pro League and securing high-profile signings such as Cristiano Ronaldo on a staggering £175 million per year contract, Al-Nassr’s ability to recruit new players may now be compromised due to FIFA’s ruling.
The club remains associated with other notable players like Hakim Ziyech from Chelsea, but their prospects of signing additional talent are uncertain following the decision of the global governing body.
