In a bid to foster effective and an all inclusive administration, the NYSC State Coordinator, Mr. Agbor Ndoma inaugurated a panel to serve as the camp court for the 2023 Batch B Stream 2 Orientation Course.
Addressing the Corps members at the morning meditation today, he stated that the role of a leader comes with lots of responsibilities and the NYSC body believes in cooperative leadership.
Earlier before the inauguration of the Camp Court, Agbor appointed three of the ten platoon leaders as Corps Camp Directors.
Their roles, he said, would be to serve as intermediaries between the Camp Officials and the Corps Members. The Corps Camp directors appointed are;
1) Isika Emmanuel Uchechukwu from Imo State, with state code OS/23B/ 2732, a graduate of Business Administration from Cross River University.
2) Eche Divine Amarachi, from Imo State with state code LA/23B/ 2880, graduate of Mass Communication from the University of Nigeria Nsukka.
3) Badmus Bashir Alabi, from Kwara State with state code number OS/23B/2984. Federal University Birnin Kebbi, where he studied History and International Studies.
Inaugurating the Camp Court, Agbor stated that the composition of the Court is a panel with the State Coordinator, Mr Agbor Ndoma Obim as Chairman; the Camp Director, Mr Aleshinloye Adeniyi; the Camp Commandant, Major John Itudo; the Resident Officer; Mrs Attah Esther James; the Head of Police ASP Agboluaje Taofeek; Head of Man ‘O’ War, Mr Ibikunle Olanrewa; two Corps lawyers, and Corps Camp Directors.
Also, Nurse Oludare from the Hospital Management Board Osun State, highlighted three steps to achieve health wellness.
Speaking further, he said “you’re solely responsible for your wellness and to achieve wellness, one has to be vigilant, anticipating and being proactive”, which according to him involved monitoring and trying to reduce health stress.
Conclusively, he encouraged Corps Members to be conscious of what they take in as that is the first step to achieving wellness.
Also delivering the CDS nugget, the Assistant Director Community Development Service (CDS), Mrs. Fatima Taiwo gave an insight into what CDS is and what it entails.
She stated that the CDS is an important platform that gives Corps Members the opportunity to contribute to the society. She further advised them to start thinking of ways to contribute positively to the society.
