In a tragic incident, a 26-year-old woman identified as Jennifer Dan was discovered lifeless in a hotel located in the Ikotun area of Lagos, her stomach inexplicably torn.
The unsettling incident occurred after the deceased woman had checked into the hotel in the company of a 30-year-old man named Wale Samuel at approximately 8:00 a.m. on Monday.
Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident and stated that the prime suspect, Samuel, had been apprehended by law enforcement.
Samuel reportedly confessed to the crime of killing Jennifer, though he did not provide any explanation for his actions. SaharaReporters maintained.
Hundeyin indicated that the suspect would soon face charges, and he provided a brief account of the case:
“On September 11, 2023, at about 11 a.m., one Solomon reported at the Ikotun Division that at about 8:00 a.m., same day, Dan, one of his lodgers was found to have been killed in her hotel room by a 30-year-old man seen last with her.
“Based on the report, a team of detectives was mobilized to the scene, and the deceased was seen lying on the floor with her stomach pierced with a scissor.
“Her remains were evacuated, and the suspect arrested at his hideout in the Ikotun area. The case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) for further investigation.”
