In a significant breakthrough, the Adamawa State Police Command has apprehended a notorious armed robbery gang, comprising individuals of varying ages, including a 13-year-old boy. The arrests took place in the Yola North local government area of the state, bringing relief to residents plagued by a series of burglaries and thefts.
Confirming the successful operation, SP Suleiman Nguroje, the spokesperson for the command, disclosed that the suspected criminals specialized in breaking into shops and homes, targeting valuable items. Moreover, they were involved in heinous acts of robbing innocent people, subjecting them to traumatic experiences while snatching their belongings.
According to LIB, the arrested individuals have been identified as Yusuf Bashir (18), Isa Muhammed (20), Ayo Morofade (18), Shuaibu Sudais (13), and Muhammed Hassan (20). Following an extensive investigation, the police managed to recover a range of stolen items from the suspects. These included a sewing machine, generator, clothing materials, cutlass, and several mobile handsets, among other valuables.
Expressing his satisfaction over the successful operation, the state Commissioner of Police, CP Afolabi Babatola, emphasized the importance of maintaining public safety and tranquility. He directed the police force to intensify their efforts in apprehending criminals who seek to disrupt the peace and security of the public. The commissioner’s proactive stance demonstrates the commitment of law enforcement to protect the citizens and deter criminal activities in the Adamawa State.
